Abstract

Editorial summaries based on the published abstracts and contributions.

1–44: Odonata found in mid-summer 2015 and 2016 at the north-westernmost Black Sea Coast of the Caucasus, with the first record of Cordulegaster picta Selys, 1854 in Russian Federation (Oleg E. Kosterin & Vladimir I. Solovyev)

Surveys in two summers documented 28 species on the northwestern Caucasian Black Sea coast. Cordulegaster picta is recorded from Russia for the first time. The account discusses noteworthy localities, differences between years, migration, feeding activity and the identification of Chalcolestes.

45–57: Calopteryx virgo feminalis subsp. nov., a long known under the same name but hitherto formally nameless subspecies from the Caucasian Black Sea Coast (Oleg E. Kosterin)

The author formally establishes a subspecies name previously used without meeting nomenclatural requirements for Caucasian Black Sea populations. Diagnostic characters of both sexes, including female wing pigmentation and male abdominal markings, are described and illustrated; type material comes from the Doob River near Kabardinka.
