International Dragonfly Fund (IDF)

Our aim is to support projects dedicated to the exploration and protection of the dragonflies of our world and their habitats.

Donations from our members or other persons are used 100% for projects serving these aims. To date (March 2025), these projects yielded 190 issues of IDF report and 46 issues of “Faunistic Studies in South-East Asian and Pacific Odonata“. In the context of IDF-funded excursions, 82 previously unknown dragonfly and damselfly species were discovered and described – this equals more than 1% of all dragonfly species known in the world. Furthermore, 24,211 publications with dragonfly-related content have been documented in the Odonatological Abstract Service (OAS) so far.
