International Dragonfly Fund (IDF)

Our aim is to support projects dedicated to the exploration and protection of the dragonflies of our world and their habitats.

Donations from our members or other persons are used 100% for projects serving these aims. To date (Dec. 2024), these projects yielded 188 issues of IDF report and 45 issues of “Faunistic Studies in South-East Asian and Pacific Odonata“. In the context of IDF-funded excursions, 81 previously unknown dragonfly and damselfly species were discovered and described – this equals more than 1% of all dragonfly species known in the world. Furthermore, 23,689 publications with dragonfly-related content have been documented in the Odonatological Abstract Service so far (as of September 2024).
